p1Round 11: Sosefa Fevaleaki

The kid with a dynamo forehand has shown great potential over the season and has featured prominantly in matches including an important 5 set win over Sam Hensgen to steer Bishop Builders home in Rnd 11.

 

p1Round 10: Cole Keegan

Cole has improved over this Winter season which see’s him vying for the P3 Aggregate title. He has also been called into P2 as a fill-in and has looked comfortable at that level.

 

p1Round 9: Matt Lubic

Matt has come on leaps and bounds this season and his purple patch of form has kept Pinnacle Packers in the race for the Premiership.

 

p1Round 8: Ali Taheri

This shot says it all. Ali prepares for competition night like no other. Coupled with 3 sweat bands, 3 towels, 2 wrist bands and a skipping rope Ali is the consumate professional on the Stta circuit. He single handedly has led the resurrection of Mallee Bearings from bottom of the ladder 2 weeks ago to now a threat for the title.

 

p1Round 7: Shirley Whitecross

Shirley played well in round seven winning her first singles of the season and in doing so helped her team to a 6-5 victory. This was their first success for the season after several near misses. Not only did Shirley win a singles she also partnered her captain Jessica Dorman to a win in the second doubles enabling their team to grab the points.
Monday night training has helped Shirley to achieve this award.

 

p1Round 6: Bernadette Fitzpatrick

In a busy night in round six not only did Bernadette win three singles for her team for the first time, she also was called on to act as a fill in in another team where she again won three singles. Along with six singles where she defeated opponents vastly more experienced than herself Bernadette was also involved in two doubles victories. In a hectic schedule Bernadette played eight matches for eight wins. Bernadette who is just about to turn 14 is aquitting herself very well in a tough pennant two competition.

 

p1Round 5: Karly Leach    

Karly is one of the most improved players in Pennant three this season. In round five with her team under pressure she was able to record three singles victories, a great achievement from the number two player in her team.

 

p1Round 4: Seval Fuat

Seval, who plays as the number two, was instrumental in his teams’ 6-5 victory. With the match standing at five rubbers all, Seval outlasted opposing number one Andrew Jones in four close games. Seval earlier featured in the first doubles victory with Matt Ljubic. This was the second round in succession that Seval had won three singles

 

p1Round 3: Mark Ljubic

The five set King lead his team to victory winning three singles including two in five sets. He also featured in the first doubles victory again in five sets which was crucial in his teams’ 6-5 win which was their first win of the season.

 

p1Round 2: George Papanicolaou

In his teams’ narrow 6-5 victory George played an important role winning his first singles in four sets. In the next match he partnered his skipper Arnold Jago in the first doubles winning in four sets. Two games later George won his next singles 12-10 in the fifth setting his team up for their narrow win.

 

p1Round 1:  Peter Edwards

Peter played a key role for his team winning two singles and the doubles he featured in. This was a great achievement from the number three player in the team. An important 11-9 in the fifth win late in the match gave his team a 6-5 victory and a good start to the season.
