Grand Final Week

Well how time flies by.  It feels like only yesterday that the nameless and faceless member(s) of the grading committee sat at a secret location to hatch this version of the 2016 Winter Table Tennis season.  I would personally like to thank those involved in team selections as most grades went down to the wire last week during the preliminary finals matches.  For those who have made it this far – Well Done!  For others there is always next season (3-4 weeks away).  I would like to see as many players, family and friends to support one of the biggest nights on our Table Tennis Calendar.

I cannot give any predictions this week and it may seem there could be a conflict of interest as other immediate members of my family are competing in three of the four grades.  2014-Matt&MarkLjubicThe only thing I can say for certain there will be the name M. Ljubic on the Pennant 1 Shield for the first time in 23 years.  I wish all finalists the best and I know that the matches will be keenly contested and played in the right spirit.  Please don’t forget to update your diary dates as our presentation night will be held on the following Wednesday night on August 17th.  The Venue will be the Irymple Leisure Centre with proceedings to kick off at around 6:30pm.  Please bring a casserole to share.
