Sunraysia Table Tennis 2023 Summer Teams

Pennant 1 May be an image of 2 people, people playing basketball and text

  • In what has been the Stta’s worst kept secret, The Big Q makes his debut in Pennant 1 teaming up with the Stta’s most capped player in Wayne Carmichael. Could this be our early Premiership favourites?
  • The team of Kate and Lee pair up again for what could be an interesting combination. Jackson Murphy, hold on for the ride.
  • The team of Wong, Wood, Hung are another curious combo and if Wong lives up to his potential, then look out.
  • Richie and Dormo pair up again in what looks like unfinished business from the Winter season with the calming Russell Walder  – ‘Gav, just calm down, calm down’.
  • Thahn moves to a number one after an impressive Winter season to team up with the Winter season’s two big improvers in Rohan and Paul.
  • Ash Morrison returns to P1 with Tung and Brown who have good form as a pairing from past seasons.

Pennant 2

  • Marita Grace enters P2 and pairs up with Kevin Johns. White line fever could be at record levels but a blend of the calming Luca Cap make this team a formidable one. One thing is for sure, be careful with what you say.
  • New medical recruit Dr Rasin Bhuiyan joins a much improved Daniel Jansen and P3 promoted Levi Williams. Rasin has had the biggest preseason with 14+ preliminary games.
  • Shaun Gifford, P3’s big improver makes his debut in P2 joining experienced Jeremy Corrin and with Therese returning to Stta action, this side are a smoky for the Big Dance.
  • Leon ‘Cool Breeze’ Bailey returns to the Stta joining Terry Martin and much improved Tom Morrison.
  • Jordan Cole, perhaps one of P2’s hardest players to grade will be a great asset to Jamie Kealley and if presidente Peter Fitz hits form we have another serious finals contender.
  • The triple J’s in John, Josh and James will push hard with John taking a new role as a number 1.
