December 2015

p1 Attached is a photo of Dillon in action at the World Junior Championships in Vendee, France. He has had quite a successful time so far, with the team event finishing today. Dillon won 3 of his 4 team matches, including wins over boys from much higher ranked nations. I was able to watch one of his matches at 2am, live streamed, which we only found out about at the last minute. The individual events are just beginning now, and the tournament ends on Monday our time. Dillon was able to train in Sweden for a week before the Worlds, and there were discussions after events in Paris as to whether the Worlds would go ahead. Some countries did pull out, but Australia decided to send the boys. After the tournament Dillon will return to Eslov, in the south of Sweden, to train until the end of January. He will also get to play some other tournaments and pennant matches. He may spend Christmas in Poland with one of the Australian coaches, who is from there.  All the best,  Julie.
